Why Should We Drink Nut Milk?
Below shows the comparison between the three different types of milk (cow milk, almond milk, and soy milk). You will then understand the benefits of drinking nut milk as opposed to the other two kinds of milk below.
The cows bred today has been mistreated and fed with tons of steroids and other hormonal chemicals to make them bigger within the shortest time possible. In conclusion, the cow milk today is considered a processed food.
Not only that, cow milk contain lactose and if you are lactose intolerant then this will be a no-go for you. Alternatively, you can have the option to try almond milk instead which has zero saturated fats and lactose-free.
Almond Milk (Recommended)
This nut milk is a vegan/vegetarian-friendly option which is naturally lactose-free, very low in calories, no saturated fats or cholesterol and high in vitamin A and D. It helps to keep your heart healthy and prevents high blood pressure. If you realized by now, I would always use unsweetened homemade almond milk as my water base for all my smoothies.
You can purchase my book from the link above and learn how to make creamy smoothies with almond milk, and I will also teach you the step by step guide on how to make the silkiest almond milk in the world. It is so easy to make, and it turns out perfect each time!
Although soy milk is considered a vegan milk, it is 98% a GMO (genetically modified organism) product based on the commercial food industry today. Furthermore, soy milk increases the estrogen level in your body and cause hormonal imbalance if consumed excessively.
Consumption of soy milk also has been linked to cases of breast cancer and thyroid diseases, but it is not confirmed. If you really cannot live without soy milk, then I would suggest to only buy organic (non-GMO) soy milk from the stores.
