Guacamole Spread on Homemade Flax Crackers

These are so amazingly delicious yet so easy to make. All you would need is a dehydrator to start with.

If you do not have a dehydator, you can use your kitchen oven but dehydate or "bake" for half the time.

To make these flax crackers, you would need:

1 cup of whole flax seeds

1 tbsp of chia seeds

1/2 cup of filtered water

Season with pink salts and dash of turmeric powder

Mix these ingredients together in a bowl and stir evenly. Let it settle in for about 10 mins and stir it again.

This time you will notice that the mixture is alot thicker and a little sticky like gelatin. This is the consistency you would want. Now spread the thick mixture onto your dehydator trays. Spread about 0.5cm thickness or slightly thinner if you prefer thinner, crispier crackers.

Dehydate at 110F for 20 to 24 hours, I usually let them dry out overnight. If you are using an oven, use the lowest heat possible and for around 3 to 6 hours. Till the crackers turn hard and crispy.

Enjoy with guacamole or tomato salsa! YUM.
