Making a Vegan Frothy Latte: Matcha or Cacao today?
These are so easy to make and so delicious! This is especially suited for people with stomach indigestion or lactose intolerance. I was experimenting on frothing vegan nutmilks, and realised that you are able to froth them and yet the froth remains! So here I am sharing my quick recipe with you.
3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp of pure maple syrup
1 tsp of matcha powder/ 2 tsp of cacao powder
1/3 cup of filtered water
Aerolatte electric whisk (you can get an affordable from those $2 stores)
Serving for one
Pour almond milk into a measuring cup and fill up to 3/4 cup. Use an aerolatte whisk and froth the milk for approximately 3 mins till the froth doubles. Now tap the measuring cup twice to make sure that the liquid flows down to the bottom and the froth at the top. Take a tall glass, and add maple syrup to the bottom of the glass. Now pour the frothing liquid into the glass, Set aside and prepare the matcha/cacao mixture. If you are making matcha latte, take a separate bowl and mix matcha with water. Whisk till well combined. Pour the matcha mixture into the frothy glass and focus only at one spot so as to retain the froth at the top. Do the same for the cacao latte, just replace matcha powder with cacao.
